The new anime adaptation of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube, set to premiere on July 2, 2025, follows Meisuke Nueno, nicknamed "Nube," a cheerful yet clumsy homeroom teacher at Dōmori Elementary School. Beneath his kind exterior lies a secret: he’s Japan’s only psychic teacher, with a powerful demon sealed in his left hand, known as the "Demon's Hand." Using his spiritual abilities and this demonic power, Nube protects his students from supernatural threats, including ghosts, yokai, and evil spirits plaguing the town of Dōmori. The series blends horror, comedy, and heartwarming school-life moments, incorporating Japanese mythology and urban legends. This modernized reboot, produced by Studio Kai, updates the setting and student characters while retaining the charm of the original 1990s manga and anime. It will air in two split cours, with the second cours starting in January 2026, and features a mix of action, suspense, and emotional storytelling.
